Frances L. (Nowicki) Snarke

Frances L. Snarke (nee: Nowicki), 97, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2017, in Somerset.  She was born in Bayonne and was a long-time resident, prior to relocating to Somerset in 2009.  She was a retired employee of the Bayonne Recreation Department, working in the Senior Center.

Mrs. Snarke was a Past President of the Mt. Carmel Seniors.  She was also a member of the Republican Club and a poll worker in many elections.

Mrs. Snarke was predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter H. Snarke, Sr.; her loving children, Walter H. Snarke, Jr. and Patricia Ulias; and her beloved grandson, Greg Ulias.  She is survived by her cherished grandchildren, Kevin Snarke (Tina Burns), Beth Snarke (Mario Bonito) and Wayne Ulias; her adoring great grandchildren, Annabelle and Colin Snarke, and Francesca, Karli and Zoe Ulias; her dear daughter-in-law, Judith Snarke (nee: Staunch); her beloved niece, Irene Wiechetek (John); and many other loving nieces and nephews.  She was also predeceased by her dear siblings, John and Walter Nowicki and Irene Bavlish.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Monday, November 20, 2017.  A funeral Mass will be held at Pope John Paul II Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Sunday, November 19, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
