Mary Sullivan (nee: Zgoba) passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at her residence. She was born in Germany to the late Kataryna (nee: Kitt) and Nicholas Zgoba and was a long-time Bayonne resident.
Mary was an administrative assistant at St. Peter’s University, working in the Department of Business Administration, and celebrated 15 years with the college in 2016.
She was inducted in the St. Peter’s Chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda, the National Honor Society for adult students and was a recipient of the Blue Cross Key Award for her service to the college.
Mary is survived by her loving children, Kathy DeGregorio, and her husband, Vinnie, George Sullivan, and his wife, Bridget, Shannon Pullaro, and her husband, Jim, and Sean Sullivan and his fiancé, Kimberly Hill; her cherished grandchildren, Joseph, Courtney, Mackenzie, Rylee, DJ, Matthew, Will and Liam; and her brother, Nicholas Zgoba, Jr., and his wife Margaret. She was predeceased by her beloved siblings, Orest Zgoba, Helene Luskie and Hania Zgoba.
The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Friday, February 23, 2018. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Aedan’s Church, Jersey City, at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
