Mary (Driscoll) Maida

Mary Maida (Nee: Driscoll) passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bayonne to the late Jesse (nee: Fletcher) and John Driscoll and was a lifelong Bayonne resident.  She was a legal secretary for the Bayonne Board of Education.

Mary was a long-time parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle Church, a member of the Young at Hearts, and she also enjoyed playing mahjong.

Mary was predeceased by her loving husbands, Leonard Terrible and Charles Maida.  She is survived by her beloved children, Kathleen Meehan, and her husband, William, Elizabeth Bella, and Leonard Terrible, and his husband, Greg Schramm; and her cherished grandchildren, Edward and Joshua Tencza, Seth and Sarah Bella, and Brice and Jared Terrible. Mary was also predeceased by her four dear siblings.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Saturday, June 29, 2019.  A funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.  Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Friday, June 28, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
