William “Windy” A. Dundas III passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at his Old Bridge residence. He was born in Bayonne to the late Helen (nee: Slagus) and William A. Dundas, Jr., was a graduate of Holy Family Academy and was a long-time Bayonne resident.
Known for his great personality, Mr. Dundas had the great gift of gab.
Mr. Dundas proudly served the nation as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War and was a retired Hudson County Sheriff’s Officer. He was also employed at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans, the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion F.A. Mackenzie Post and the Hudson County Fraternal Order of Police.
Mr. Dundas is survived by his beloved wife, Annette (nee: Pacilio) Dundas; his loving children, William Dundas IV, and his wife, Vicki; Michael Dundas, and his wife, Maria, and Lisa Truchan, and her husband, George; his cherished grandchildren, Danielle, Gabrielle, and Marissa Dundas and Lauren and Lyndsay Truchan; his dear sister, Marilyn Skibbie (the late John); his dear brothers-in-law, Anthony (Carol) and Angelo (Debra) Pacilio; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his dear brother, Donald Dundas.
The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Monday, October 8, 2018. A funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 11:00 a.m. followed by entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, October 7, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Family Support Group, 425 Eagle Rock Avenue #203, Roseland, NJ 07068.
