Adam R. Jakubowski, 85, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday, April 11, 2021. Born in Bayonne to the late Sophie and Adam F. Jakubowski, he was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Jakubowski was a welder for P.S.E. & G. for over 30 years before retiring in 2001. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion Post 229 of Roselle, NJ . He also served as President for many years with the Polish Roman Catholic Union.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Priscilla (nee: Giaimo); his loving daughter, Connie Hunter, and her husband, Robert; his cherished granddaughter, Amy Lee Hunter; his dear brother, Eugene Jakubowski; his sister in law, Cynthia Giaimo; and his nieces, Jacqulyn, Celina and Erica.
The funeral will be conducted from the Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 with a walk through viewing from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.
