Bridget (Gaughan) Ludlow

Bridget “Birdy” Ludlow (nee: Gaughan) passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019.  Birdy was born and raised in Jersey City and was a Secaucus resident for two years.   She was a graduate of Jersey City State College and was a registered nurse, working at Meadowview Psychiatric Hospital for ten years.  She also worked for the City of Jersey City and then as an aide to her late father, William Gaughan.

Birdy is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Ludlow; her loving son, James William Gaughan Dickson; her dear stepdaughter, Lily Miranda Ludlow; her beloved mother, Bernadette Gaughan (nee: Krull); her cherished aunts, Veronica Waldman, Melissa Lowry and Doreen Stabile; and her dear uncles, Edward Lowry, Jr. and Daniel Krull. She was predeceased by her beloved father, William Gaughan; and loving sister, Eileen “Beanie” Gaughan.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc.  Visitation will take place at Immaculate Conception Church, Secaucus, on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at 10:45 a.m.  A private cremation will follow.  No flowers will be accepted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org), Hudson City Lions (http://hudsoncitylions.org/Donate.htm), or Operation Smile (https://www.operationsmile.org/). Envelopes will be available.
