Dennis A. Roman

Dennis A. Roman, 69 of Bayonne, entered into eternal rest on November 23, 2018 at Jersey City Medical Center.   Born in Jersey City to the late Carmen & Teresa (nee: Pugliese), he lived there most of his life.  He was a proud US Army Veteran and was employed as a Train Master with CSX for nearly 20 years, retiring in 2011.  After retirement, he lived in Florida before returning north to Bayonne where he most recently resided. Dennis was a self-proclaimed music aficionado with jazz and blues always at the top of his list. Enjoying retirement, he would rarely pass up a game of poker with the boys or the opportunity to chauffer his grandson from baseball practice to baseball game. 

He is the adored father of Christopher, Julia & Dana Roman, his committed wife, life partner & mother of his girls, Donna (nee: Fortunato), beloved brother of Nanette Bonner & her daughter, Terri Ann Bonner, proud and loving grandfather of Lilliana & Michael Cordero and of Cross & Luke Roman.

The Funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc., on Wednesday, November 28th at 10:00 a.m.  A Catholic Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.   Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 27th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
