Donald Lee

June 29, 1938 ~ September 27, 2017 (age 79) 79 Years Old

W. Donald Lee passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 27, 2017.  He was born in Bayonne to the late Rose (nee: Lawless) and John F. Lee.

A graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Elizabeth, and the Advanced Traffic Management School, New York, Donald was employed as a traffic manager for Sea Land Company for 28 years.  He then entered the hospitality business and was most recently employed at Newark Airport, where he worked until the age of 74.  Donald was a dedicated employee in both positions and won the respect of all he worked with throughout his career.

He was a lifelong communicant of St. Andrew the Apostle Church and a member of the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh of the Jersey Shore.

Donald proudly served the nation as a member of the United States Army, having received training at Fort Dix, then later serving in the United States Army Reserve.

He is survived by his loving siblings, Ann Marie Fabriele, and her husband, Peter, and Mary Lee Montesinos, and her husband, Roberto, and; his dear in-laws, George Hilla and Patricia and Judith Lee; and many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.  He was predeceased by his siblings, John, and his wife, Mary Dillon Lee, Rosemary (Sissy) Lee, Robert Lee, Barbara Hilla, Thomas Lee and Joseph Lee.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, Bayonne, at 11:00 a.m.
