Margaret (Ondrey) Makar

Margaret Makar (nee: Ondrey) passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 1, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Bayonne to the late Nellie (nee: Howard) and Frank Ondrey and was a lifelong resident.  She was a retired custodian for the Bayonne Board of Education.

Mrs. Makar was predeceased by her beloved husband, Peter Makar.  She is survived by her loving children, Eric (Jennifer), David and Robin Makar; and her cherished grandchildren, Syrenna Kononovitch, Brittney, Joshua, and Matthew Makar, and Shannon and Katlyn O’Donnell; and her dear siblings, Robert Ondrey, Dolores Petsch and Linda Hudacko. She was predeceased by her dear siblings, Francis Ondrey and Evelyn Rudy.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Monday, November 5, 2018. A funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church at 12:00 p.m. followed by cremation at Rosehill Crematory, Linden.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, November 4, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
