Robert David Hawes, 68, of Bayonne, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016, at Jersey City Medical Center. Born in Queens, NY, he has resided in Bayonne for 66 years. He was a computer consultant for several companies including Casio, Empire Cash Register and Izak Turk, Inc.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the Air Force.
He was a member of the Bayonne Train Club, the Studebaker Drivers Club and the NJ Amateur Computer Group, having taken part in writing newsletters for these respective clubs.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, Grace (nee: Benton) and Robert E. Hawes. He is survived by his brother, Glen Hawes, and his wife Maria, and her children, Andrea Uhrlass, Javier Rodriguez and Elizabeth Ormaza.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. followed by a prayer service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery, Kearny, NJ.
