Bridget (Bonner) Scialabba

Bridget M. Scialabba passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at McAuley Hall Health Center, Watchung, NJ.  She was born in Bayonne to the late Mary (nee: Malloy) and Anthony Bonner and was a lifelong resident.  She was an administrative assistant at First Savings and Loan.

Mrs. Scialabba was a member of the St. Andrew’s Bridgemen Booster Club and the St. Andrew’s Rosary Society.  She enjoyed cooking Italian food and making a variety of delicious baked goods.

Mrs. Scialabba was predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony.  She is survived by her loving children, Donald Scialabba, and his wife, Randie Toresco-Scialabba, and Donna Scialabba, and her husband, Larry Kowalak; her cherished granddaughter, Marguerite Scialabba; her dear siblings, Anthony Bonner and Elizabeth Thompson; and many loving nieces and nephews.  She was also predeceased by her dear siblings, Cornelius, Patrick, Dennis, John, Marie and Sr. Assunta Bonner, SSJ, Frances Foulks, Theresa Karcz and Ann Thompson.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Monday, May 24, 2021.  A funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 11:00 a.m.  Private Cremation will follow.  Due to COVID restrictions, a walkthrough visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation or St. Joseph’s Villa.
