Chester C. Belenke

Chester C. Belenke passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020, at CarePoint Health at Bayonne Medical Center.  He was born in Jersey City to the late Stella (nee: Stelmanski) and Paul Belenke and was a long-time Bayonne resident.

Chester never missed an opportunity to go fishing and was an avid fisherman.

Chester is survived by his beloved siblings, Paul Belenke, Jr. (Esther Naipaul), Dolores Zaleck, and Diane Najdzin (Robert); and many loving nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his dear sister, Frances McAdams.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Wednesday, August 19, 2020.  A funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.  Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  

Due to current CDC guidelines, visitors and funeral attendees are asked to wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
