Edward Coles, 66, of Jim Thorpe, PA, formerly of Bayonne, died suddenly on June 21, 2021. Born in Jersey City to the late Julia (nee: Sommers) and Edward Coles, he resided in Bayonne most of his life before moving to Jim Thorpe, PA last year.
Eddie was employed by the Bayonne Board of Education for over 37 years as an engineer before retiring. He was a Navy veteran and a member of the NRA.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Monica (nee: McMahon); his cherished daughter, Allison Ives, and her husband, Jeremy; a granddaughter due in November; his dear sister, Kathleen Smith, and her husband Michael; and his loving niece, Tara Sirianni and her husband, Don, and their children. He is also survived by his many McMahon brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted by the Bayonne Memorial Home on Saturday, June 26, 2021, with a service taking place at 11:00 a.m. followed by cremation at Rosehill Crematory, Linden, NJ. Visitation will take place on Friday, June 25, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
