Josephine DeMonaco

Josephine DeMonaco (nee; Cantale) passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at her Bayonne residence.  She was born in Sicily to the late Mary Ann Graffagnino and Silvestro Cantale and was a long-time Bayonne resident.  She was a homemaker.

Mrs. DeMonaco was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert. She is survived by her loving children, Robert Anthony, David, Mark and Lisa Demonaco; her cherished grandchildren, Thomas and Demi Dahlstrom, Alex, Jake, Gia and Robert DeMonaco, Alex Stamious and Lauren Galgano; her dear siblings, Vinnie, Joseph and Guido Cantale and Rosa Lamb; and many loving nieces and nephews.  She was also predeceased by her loving siblings, Nino and Peter Cantale.

The funeral will be under the direction of Cambridge Memorial Chapels.  Visitation will take place at Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at the Parish of St. John Paul at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 10:30 a.m.  Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.
