Maria (Olijnyk) Grodzickyj

Maria Grodzickyj (nee: Olijnyk), 94, passed away peacefully at her Bayonne residence on Saturday, January 18, 2020. She was born in Ukraine and lived in Manhattan prior to settling in Bayonne in 1972.

Mrs. Grodzickyj was a union member of 32 BJ and worked in the maintenance service department at 61 Broadway, New York, retiring in 1994.  She was a member of the Rosary Society of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church and enjoyed making pierogies for the parish fundraiser.

Mrs. Grodzickyj was predeceased by her beloved husband, Nicholas, in 1996; and her loving son, Igor Paul, in 1995.

She is survived by her loving and devoted sons, Roman and Alex Grodzickyj.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Thursday, January 23, 2020. A funeral service will be offered at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. Visitation will take place on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
