Raymond Manley, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at his Bayonne residence with his family at his side. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Bayonne for over 50 years. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a truck driver for Hudson Steel Tool & Die Company, Jersey City. He was also employed at Exxon for 11 years.
Ray proudly served the nation as a member of the United States Army.
He was an avid fisherman and crabber and took pride and joy in teaching his grandchildren to crab.
Ray is survived by his beloved children, Cheryl Kelly (Michael), Raymond Manley, Jr., and Pete Manley (Jade): his cherished grandchildren, Megan and Tracy Kelly, Amanda Klick, Breanna Vaccaro, and Matthew, Emma and Sara Manley; his dear sister-in-law, Gertrude Manley; and his cherished niece, Cyndy Manley . He was predeceased by his dear brother, Anthony; and his cherished grandson, Peter Joseph John Manley.
The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Monday, August 9, 2021. A funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
