Robert Eng

Robert Kenneth Eng passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at his Lodi residence.  He was born in Passaic, NJ to the late Eva and Paul Eng and was a Bayonne resident for 58 years.  He was a mechanical engineer for Best Foods for 37 years, prior to retirement.

Robert proudly served the nation as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion, Post #19.

He was avid Bluegrass and Country Music fan.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Lai Chun (nee: Leung); his beloved children, Fung Ngor Ng, and her husband, Kwok Leung Ng, Lap Ming Eng, and his wife, Carrie Cho, and Kuen Eng; his cherished grandchildren, Hanna and Alan; his dear siblings, William Eng, and his wife, Emma; and his adoring nieces and nephews, Rosemary Eng, Karen Pagano, John Pagano, Danny Eng, Maria Silva, Mario Silva and Timothy Eng.  He was predeceased by his loving son-in-law, William Boettcher; his dear siblings, Melvin Eng, James Eng and Richard Eng; and his adoring nephew, James Eng.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Thursday, June 11, 2026.  A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. followed by interment at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.  Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
